Mark Smith is Group Chief Executive Officer of Mapeley and has over 25 years real estate experience. Mark has been with Mapeley since 2002 and is responsible for all areas of business including day-to-day operations, future growth opportunities and long-term strategy. He became Group Chief Executive Officer in January 2011 and prior to this held the role of Head of Real Estate with responsibility for the oversight of Mapeley's diverse property portfolios and businesses.

Simon joined Mapeley as Group Chief Financial Officer in February 2013 with responsibility for the financial leadership of the business, including management of the relationship of both equity and debt providers.
Previously Simon was Group Finance Director at United House Group and has extensive experience in property related sectors. He has held senior roles in major blue chip organisations as well as in private equity and comes with a track record of formulating and executing successful growth strategies both in the UK and abroad. Simon qualified as a Chartered accountant at KPMG in London in 1995.

Michael is responsible for all legal matters and all aspects of corporate governance. Michael joined Mapeley in January 2002. He was previously Group Legal Adviser at Wates City of London Properties plc, where he was also group company secretary. Prior to that he was an assistant solicitor at Norton Rose.

Matt is the Head of Development at Mapeley and has over 20 years of experience within the property industry. Prior to joining Mapeley, Matt held posts as Chief Operating Officer at the Lendlease International Quarter Development and Development Director at CIT LLP. He has worked on and subsequently led over 10 million square feet of development across a wide range of sectors.
Matt is responsible for the evaluation and redevelopment of sites within our existing portfolio and the acquisition and evaluation of all other sites we consider acquiring.
Jo has advised on property and development projects in the UK for over 25 years, as a partner at property consultancy Montagu Evans. This work included valuation and viability / feasibility advice working with planners and architects to achieve planning permissions that were deliverable and profitable. The residential and mixed use schemes she has advised on total over £10bn GDV.
Jo has brought these skills to Mapeley to ensure maximum value is achieved on the redevelopment assets in the portfolio that are scheduled for vacation by our tenants.
Martin is a Chartered Surveyor with almost 30 years’ experience in the fund management, investment, development & agency arena’s. He began his career at Prudential Portfolio Managers (now M&G Real Estate) where he was responsible for transacting over £2bn of real estate across all asset classes and geographies. After a 5 year period at Barwood Developments he joined Colliers International where he advised M&G on the £155m acquisition of 2 Snowhill in Birmingham, a newly constructed Grade A office building. He then joined Deloitte Real Estate where he advised Tishman Speyer on the £125m acquisition of The Economist Plaza on St James’s, demonstrating his extensive & geographically diverse property experience.
Ian joined Mapeley in July 2011 and has over 30 years of property industry experience. His current role is Head of Asset Management and involves the day to day responsibility for a team of property professionals responsible for the delivery of leasing activity, disposals, portfolio management and other property related services. He provides a strategic approach to manage risk and derive value to the business. Previously Ian worked with City Site Estates plc (17 years) and Humberts Chartered Surveyors (5 years).

Paul is a chartered surveyor who joined Mapeley in 2014 and is head of the Southern asset management team. He has wide-ranging property experience, particularly in asset management, Landlord and Tenant and negotiations.
Before joining Mapeley he worked at Leslie Lintott & Associates for 15 years, mainly providing advice to City occupiers in relation to leasing and Landlord and Tenant, then at Knight Frank for 11 years advising on Landlord and Tenant, valuations and latterly as part of the Public Sector team, and at Tritax for three years asset managing office and industrial funds.

Chris Francis joined Mapeley in June 2006 and has over 20 years Real Estate and Asset Management experience. His current role is Asset Manager for Mapeley’s London and South East portfolio and is responsible for formulating strategy / enhancing value of the portfolio and all other asset management services including leasing activity, Landlord and Tenant & Dilapidations.
Previously Chris worked with Mirvac Investments in Australia and Lambert Smith Hampton.

Richard Harris has over 30 years of property industry experience working for commercial and residential developers, Asset and Fund Management organisations and public authorities.
He has wide ranging property experience from office buildings in central London, shopping centres, industrial portfolios to public and health authority local assets.
His professional responsibilities extend to Landlord and Tenant management of leases, disposals, development, management of tenant activities and providing strategic guidance to achieving value whilst managing risk.
Richard has an Degree in Estate Management and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Richard leads the Mapeley Columbus team in the provision of asset management services to the freehold portfolio of High Street retail properties, together with the provision of real estate services to Santander UK Ltd under the residue of the 20 year structured sale and leaseback and outsourcing contract.
Richard has an Bsc Honours degree in Urban Land Economics, has been a member of the RICS since 2000 and has over 20 years Real Estate and Asset Management experience in the UK and internationally with Sears, National Tyres, Barclays, Aedes, and Oxford City Council.

Sandeep joined Mapeley in August 2018 as an Asset Manager in the Central/North Property Asset Management team bringing with him over 20 years of property experience.
He has previously worked at PACE (Property Advisers to Civil Estate), Southwark Council and latterly Network Rail (18 years).
